ING House Dordrecht
The Dutch bank ING thought it was about time to modernize the interior of their locations. Architect Creaneau International designed a warm interior that fitted into the age of digital banking and INTOS was asked to make the interior for three locations.
Customer request
The service locations and the offices of the Dutch Bank ING are being renewed. They noticed that les customers are physically paying a visit to the bank and they wanted to update their locations to the new way of banking. All offices in The Netherlands are being refurbished into cozy livingrooms that put the customer in a central position. INTOS made the interior for the locations Dordrecht, Almere and The Hague.
Approach
Architect Creneau International designed the new interior for ING and drew inspiration from the hospitality world. Transparency is an important theme in the design. INTOS realized the fixed furniture for the locations, including the bar, the woodwork for the meeting rooms, sitting alcoves and the work areas at the office level. Within the design for the locations the ‘Central frame’ plays a big role. This ceiling high element is placed at a central place at every location. Different user functions for user and banker are incorporated into the frame. Another eye catcher is the open bar where customers can get their own cup of coffee and snacks. The alcoves lined with oak, the woodwork on the ceilings, steel frames and the applied dimension stone make for a warm and homely atmosphere.
Result
The result is a warm and atmospheric space with open and inviting areas for customers and bankers. The renewed interior contributes to a different way of banking. It gives the bank a personal feel and humanely face.
