INTOS partner of DSM-Niaga and ECOR to introduce circular panels to the market
Wednesday 23 October 2019
During Dutch Design Week, October 19-27, DSM-Niaga announced that INTOS will be one of the partners that will be involved in the process of making, using and introducing the circular ECOR panels to the market.
Our ambitions to invest in a sustainable alternative for furniture panels will be formalized during DDW on Friday, October 25th in a Memorandum of Understanding (MuO) between INTOS, DSM_Niaga and ECOR. Other partners are Royal Ahrend, Royal Auping, EcoRebels, Canary Company, Cartoni Design, Concourse, Koning+Neurath, Occony, Triboo en Zwartwoud.
At DDW Niaga (‘again’ backwards) and ECOR show how they created new material from recycled paper. INTOS is always actively looking for high quality sustainable alternatives for building materials. It was a logical step to start a partnership with DSM-Niaga and ECOR. Together with the other partners the ECOR Panel will be perfected and introduced to the market.
ECOR uses recycled paper fibers that are pressed together into furniture panels. The panels are made with cellulose materials, heat, pressure and water. They are a sustainable alternative to traditional furniture panels and enable furniture production with a business case for recycling.
