INTOS builds counters for 14 airports in Greece

INTOS is renewing the counters for 14 airports in Greece. The total of 550 counters include check-in counters, gate counters and passport counters. This immense project started in 2018 and is scheduled to be finished in 2020. All counters have the same appearance, which will create unity between the different regional airports that are located all over Greece, for example in Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes, Kos and Thessaloniki.

During an intensive engineering process with a visit to the client Fraport Greece in Athens, we advised about the most suitable materials, the dimensions and the integration of devices in the counters. Based on that we made a mock-up that was placed in Greece to be tried and assessed.” Says Carlo Kastelijns, Manager Business Development.

Because the production process was standardized the costs could be managed well. INTOS has a specialized team that engineers and builds the counters. This makes the process efficient and flexible. The counters are made in five different batches and are sent to Greece. From there they are distributed to the different regional airports. Under the supervision of INTOS the counters are installed by a local team.

Regional airports in Greece where INTOS is building:
