Famous museum in the Netherlands
Realisation of two 'artful' mobile lead walls.
One of the largest museums in the Netherlands asked INTOS to supply two mobile lead walls. They perform X-ray research to study art objects. With this knowledge a suitable restoration process can be started. The mobile lead walls had to fit with the interior and therefore had to be made of anthracite colored materials.
The requirements of the museum with regards to the strength of the X-rays and the number of employees who must be able to work behind the wall, determined the required lead thickness and the shape of the wall. Based on these requirements, INTOS further developed the construction of the wall. To make a completely radiation-proof wall, the connection of the lead glass, the bottom panel and the frame is essential. INTOS always guarantees complete radiation safety and a perfect finish.
The realized mobile lead walls give a well designed impression. The frame and the bottom panel constrasts with the stainless steel frame. The color is also striking in comparison with the often used white walls in hospitals; these lead walls are made of anthracite. In addition, the wide window offers optimal visibility. In short: the result is nice! Fortunately, functionality can also be beautiful.
